Frame manipulation

Gentle frame manipulation during hive inspections can discourage brace comb and encourage straight comb building. When inspecting frames, beekeepers can gently push frames together or slightly adjust their position to encourage bees to build comb in the desired direction within the frames. This subtle guidance helps bees build comb parallel to frames and reduces the tendency to build brace comb connecting adjacent frames. Frame manipulation, combined with proper spacing, promotes organized comb construction and reduces unwanted comb buildup.
