Use Coordinated Team Lifting

4

Description

For objects too heavy or awkward for one person, lifting with one or more helpers requires communication and coordination.

Recipe/Instructions

  1. Ensure you have enough helpers for the object's weight and size.
  2. Designate Leader: One person should take the lead to coordinate the lift.
  3. Plan & Communicate: Discuss the path, grip points, and the lifting process before starting. Agree on verbal cues (e.g., 'Ready? Lift on three. One, two, three, lift!').
  4. Position Correctly: All lifters should position themselves appropriately around the object, ensuring they can use proper lifting technique (Solution 1).
  5. Lift Together: Lift simultaneously on the agreed cue, keeping the load balanced.
  6. Move Smoothly: Walk slowly and communicate any needed adjustments or stops.
  7. Lower Together: Lower the object simultaneously on cue.
