Ensure Proper Keyboard and Mouse Placement

3

Description

Positioning input devices correctly prevents hunching and reaching, promoting better shoulder and wrist posture.

Recipe/Instructions

  1. Place the keyboard directly in front of you, close enough so your elbows remain bent at roughly 90 degrees and close to your sides while typing.
  2. Keep your wrists straight (not bent up, down, or sideways) while typing. Consider a wrist rest if needed, but ensure it supports the heel of the palm, not the wrist itself.
  3. Position the mouse close to the keyboard so you don't have to reach far for it.
  4. Alternate mouse hand occasionally if possible.
  5. Ensure forearms are roughly parallel to the floor.
