Eliminate Food Sources

Fruit flies breed in fermenting organic matter. Remove their breeding grounds by: discarding or refrigerating overripe fruit and vegetables, cleaning up spills immediately (especially juice or wine), taking out the trash regularly, cleaning drains (where gunk can accumulate), and rinsing recyclable containers.
