Use Club Soda (Especially for Red Wine)

Immediately after a spill (particularly red wine or pet stains), pour a small amount of club soda directly onto the stain. The carbonation can help lift the stain particles. Let it fizz for a minute, then blot gently with clean cloths. Repeat if necessary. Follow up with a vinegar/water solution if needed for remaining discoloration.
