Coat blades with oil after each use

3

A thin oil coating creates a barrier between the blade and moisture, preventing the oxidation that dulls and rusts razor blades between shaves.

Steps

  1. Rinse and dry the razor thoroughly after shaving.
  2. Apply a small drop of mineral oil, baby oil, or vegetable oil onto the blades.
  3. Spread lightly across all blade surfaces with a fingertip or cotton swab.
  4. Rinse off the oil before your next shave.

Tips

  • Mineral oil works best because it doesn't go rancid like vegetable oils can
  • Baby oil is mineral oil with fragrance — works equally well
  • This is most effective when combined with proper drying and dry storage
