Pre-treat with Peroxide/Baking Soda/Water Paste

4

Description

This paste combines the bleaching power of hydrogen peroxide with the mild abrasion and deodorizing of baking soda to lift stains.

Recipe/Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix approximately: 1 part hydrogen peroxide (3% solution), 1 part baking soda, and 1 part water. Adjust quantities to form a spreadable paste.
  2. Apply the paste generously to the yellowed underarm stains on the shirt.
  3. Use an old toothbrush or laundry brush to gently scrub the paste into the fabric.
  4. Let the paste sit on the stain for at least 30 minutes, up to an hour.
  5. Wash the shirt as usual in the washing machine, preferably in warm or hot water (check care label).
  6. Check for stain removal before drying; repeat treatment if necessary, as heat from drying can set stains.
