Maintain Foot Hygiene & Deodorize Shoes

5

Description

Controlling sweat and bacteria on both feet and inside shoes is key to preventing odor.

Recipe/Instructions

  1. Foot Hygiene: Wash feet daily with soap and water, drying thoroughly, especially between toes. Consider using an antibacterial soap. Apply foot powder or antiperspirant directly to feet to control sweat.
  2. Shoe Rotation: Avoid wearing the same pair of shoes two days in a row. Allow shoes at least 24 hours to air out and dry completely between wears.
  3. Shoe Deodorizing: Sprinkle baking soda liberally inside shoes overnight to absorb moisture and odors. Tap out the excess powder before wearing. Alternatively, use commercial shoe deodorizer sprays or balls.
  4. Socks: Wear clean socks made of moisture-wicking materials (like wool or synthetic blends) rather than cotton, which holds moisture. Change socks daily or more often if feet get sweaty.
