Ensure Proper Mask Fit

4

Description

Often, fogging when wearing a mask is due to warm, moist air escaping upwards from the top of the mask and hitting the cooler lenses.

Recipe/Instructions

  1. Choose a mask with a flexible metal nose strip.
  2. Mold the nose strip firmly over the bridge of your nose and cheeks to create a seal.
  3. Ensure the sides of the mask also fit snugly against your face.
  4. Some people find placing glasses slightly lower on the nose, resting over the mask material, helps create a better seal.
  5. Consider using medical tape to secure the top edge of the mask to the bridge of the nose for a complete seal (use skin-safe tape).
