Repurpose cardboard tubes as cable holders

Save empty toilet paper or paper towel tubes, coil each cable loosely, and slide it inside a tube. Label the outside with the cable type, then stand the tubes upright in a box or drawer for easy access.

Why It Works

The rigid tube walls prevent cables from uncoiling and tangling with each other. Standing them upright means you can see labels at a glance and pull out exactly the cable you need without disturbing the rest.

Tips

• Cut paper towel tubes in half for shorter cables like USB or earbuds
• A shoe box fits roughly 8-10 toilet paper tubes standing upright
• For a cleaner look, wrap tubes in washi tape or plain paper before labeling
