Proper Coiling and Storage

3

Description

How cables are stored significantly impacts their lifespan. Tight winding causes stress.

Recipe/Instructions

  1. Avoid Tight Winding: Do not wind cables tightly around your hand or device.
  2. Loose Coil / Figure Eight: Gently loop the cable into a loose coil or use the 'roadie wrap' / over-under method. Alternatively, coil it in a figure-eight pattern.
  3. Secure Loosely: Use a Velcro cable tie, a soft strap, or a twist tie to keep the coil together without cinching it tightly.
  4. Store Safely: Store coiled cables in a drawer, pouch, or organizer where they won't be crushed or tangled with other items.
