Polish with white toothpaste

3

Rub regular white toothpaste (not gel) onto the headlight lens as a mild abrasive polish. The fine abrasives in toothpaste can remove light surface haze and yellowing, making this a quick fix with something most people already have at home.

Steps

  1. Clean the headlight lens with soap and water, then dry.
  2. Apply a generous amount of white toothpaste directly onto the lens.
  3. Scrub vigorously with a damp cloth in circular motions for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with water and dry with a clean cloth.
  5. Repeat if needed, then apply a UV sealant spray for lasting protection.

Tips

  • Only effective on light haze — moderate to heavy oxidation needs sanding or a restoration kit
  • Use toothpaste with baking soda for slightly more abrasive action
  • Always follow up with a UV sealant to slow re-oxidation
