Use a Portable Jump Starter Pack

Description

A portable jump starter (lithium-ion battery pack with attached clamps) allows you to jump-start a car without needing another vehicle.

Recipe/Instructions

1. Ensure the portable jump starter pack is adequately charged.
2. Connect the jump starter's clamps directly to the dead battery terminals: RED clamp to the POSITIVE (+) terminal, and BLACK clamp to the NEGATIVE (-) terminal (some packs recommend connecting black to ground like cables, check pack instructions).
3. Turn on the jump starter pack.
4. Try to start the vehicle.
5. Once the car starts, turn off the jump starter pack and disconnect the clamps (usually black first, then red, but check pack instructions).
6. Drive the car to recharge the battery.
