Utilize TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)

4

Description

Most modern cars (roughly 2008 and newer in the US) are equipped with a TPMS that alerts the driver if one or more tires are significantly underinflated.

Recipe/Instructions

  1. Pay attention to the TPMS warning light on your dashboard (often looks like a tire cross-section with an exclamation point).
  2. If the light illuminates and stays on, it indicates at least one tire is significantly low on pressure. Check all four tires with a gauge (Solution 1) as soon as possible and inflate to the correct PSI.
  3. If the light flashes for about a minute upon starting the car and then stays on, it usually indicates a malfunction with the TPMS system itself, requiring service.
  4. Note: TPMS is a warning system for significant underinflation, not a substitute for regular manual pressure checks with a gauge to ensure optimal pressure.

What makes the Dish Special

N/A - Leverages the car's built-in safety feature as an initial warning system.
