Lemon steam clean.
4
Heating lemon slices or juice in a bowl of water inside the microwave produces citrus-scented steam that loosens baked-on grime and neutralizes odor molecules on contact. The citric acid breaks down grease films while leaving a fresh, clean scent.
Method
Slice one lemon into a microwave-safe bowl filled halfway with water. Heat on high for three to five minutes until the window is steamy. Leave the door closed for five minutes to let the steam penetrate, then wipe the interior with a damp cloth.
Effectiveness
Works well on moderate food odors and doubles as a surface cleaner. For severe smells, a second round or a follow-up with baking soda may be needed.
