Double filtering

4

Double filtering involves a two-step process to remove impurities from honey. Initially, honey is passed through a coarse strainer, typically with larger mesh openings, to capture larger particles such as wax chunks and bee parts. Subsequently, the honey undergoes a second filtration stage using a fine strainer with a much smaller mesh. This finer mesh effectively removes smaller particles like pollen grains and finer wax particles, resulting in clearer and smoother honey. Double filtering is a common DIY method for achieving good honey clarity without sophisticated equipment.
