Maintaining overall colony health is fundamental to preventing drone brood die-off and promoting healthy brood rearing. Healthy colonies are more resilient to diseases and stressors that can cause brood mortality. Beekeepers should focus on providing good nutrition through adequate honey stores and pollen availability, minimizing hive stress through gentle management and pest/disease control.
