Description
This paste combines the bleaching power of hydrogen peroxide with the mild abrasion and deodorizing of baking soda to lift stains.
Recipe/Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix approximately: 1 part hydrogen peroxide (3% solution), 1 part baking soda, and 1 part water. Adjust quantities to form a spreadable paste.
- Apply the paste generously to the yellowed underarm stains on the shirt.
- Use an old toothbrush or laundry brush to gently scrub the paste into the fabric.
- Let the paste sit on the stain for at least 30 minutes, up to an hour.
- Wash the shirt as usual in the washing machine, preferably in warm or hot water (check care label).
- Check for stain removal before drying; repeat treatment if necessary, as heat from drying can set stains.
