Bundle, route, and conceal cables with management accessories

5

Unplug and detangle all cables, then group them by destination using reusable Velcro ties. Route bundled cables along clean paths using adhesive clips, and hide them inside a cable management tray or box mounted under the desk or behind the TV stand.

Steps

  1. Unplug and sort: Label each cable, then unplug and untangle everything. Group cables running to the same location.
  2. Bundle with Velcro ties: Secure each group loosely with reusable Velcro straps. Avoid zip ties, which can pinch and damage cables.
  3. Route with clips: Attach adhesive cable clips to the back of furniture to guide bundles along a tidy path.
  4. Conceal in a tray or sleeve: Place power strips and bundled cables inside a management tray mounted underneath. For longer runs, use a neoprene cable sleeve for a single clean line.
  5. Add a wall raceway if needed: For cables running along walls, stick-on cord cover raceways hide everything inside a paintable channel.

Tips

  • Mount the power strip to the underside of the desk to keep it off the floor
  • Velcro ties are reusable and make future changes easy
  • Measure cable runs before buying sleeves or raceways to avoid waste
