Routine Cleaning:
1. Power Off: Shut down the laptop completely and unplug it from power.
2. Remove Debris: Turn the laptop upside down and gently shake it to dislodge loose crumbs and dust. Use a can of compressed air (holding it upright and using short bursts) to blow debris out from between and under the keys.
3. Surface Cleaning: Lightly dampen a microfiber cloth or a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol (70% concentration is usually recommended). Ensure the cloth/swab is damp, not wet. Gently wipe the tops and sides of the keys and the surrounding keyboard area.
4. Do not spray liquid directly onto the keyboard.
Liquid Spill Emergency:
1. Power Off IMMEDIATELY: Hold down the power button until the laptop shuts off. Seconds count.
2. Unplug: Disconnect the power adapter and any peripherals.
