Commercial odor eliminators use enzymes or chemical agents to neutralize odor molecules rather than just masking them. Sprays work well for moderate smells, while foggers penetrate the entire cabin and HVAC system for severe cases like smoke damage.

Steps

1. Clean the interior first: Remove trash and vacuum thoroughly so the product targets actual odor molecules, not surface debris.
2. For moderate odors, use a spray: Apply an automotive odor eliminator (such as Ozium or Febreze Auto) lightly onto fabrics, carpets, and into air vents. Avoid oversaturating.
3. For severe odors, use a fogger: Place the odor bomb inside the car, close all windows and doors, activate it, and leave the vehicle sealed for the time specified on the label. Ventilate thoroughly afterward.

• Ozium is particularly effective for smoke odors; Febreze Auto works well for food and pet smells
• A fogger treats the entire ventilation system, which sprays alone cannot reach
