Description
For latex (water-based) paints, submerging the applicator head in water prevents air contact.
Recipe/Instructions
- Latex Paint Only: Do not use this method for oil-based paints.
- Remove excess paint from the brush/roller.
- Place the brush (bristles down) or roller cover (removed from frame) into a container (bucket, jar, paint pail).
- Add just enough water to fully submerge the bristles or roller nap.
- Ensure the handle/frame stays dry.
- When ready to resume painting, remove the applicator, shake out excess water thoroughly, and blot with a rag or paper towel before dipping in paint.
