Good airflow is the most effective way to deny mold the moisture it needs. An exhaust fan paired with a squeegee after each shower keeps surfaces dry and humidity low.

Exhaust Fan Use

Turn the fan on before you start the shower and leave it running for 20-30 minutes after you finish. This window is critical because steam continues to condense on cool surfaces well after the water stops. If the bathroom lacks a fan, open a window during and after bathing.

Squeegee Routine

After showering, squeegee glass doors, tile walls, and any smooth surfaces where water sheets collect. This removes the bulk of standing water that would otherwise evaporate slowly and keep humidity elevated.

Why This Works

Mold needs moisture, warmth, and organic material. Ventilation and squeegeeing directly eliminate the moisture leg of that triangle, making the environment hostile to spore germination.
