Remove pet hair with a damp rubber glove

4

Put on a rubber glove, dampen it slightly, and run your hand over the furniture surface in one direction. Pet hair clumps together and clings to the glove. Rinse the glove periodically to clear collected hair and continue.

Why It Works

The combination of rubber texture and moisture creates friction and static that lifts hair from fabric. This works especially well on tightly woven upholstery and microfiber.

Tips

  • Use standard dishwashing gloves -- thick rubber grips better than thin latex
  • Wipe in long, sweeping strokes rather than short back-and-forth motions
  • Works best on surface hair; deeply embedded hair may need vacuuming first
