How It Works

Coffee grounds contain nitrogen, which helps neutralize sulfur-based and other volatile odor compounds. Their porous structure also physically traps odor molecules.

Warning

Coffee grounds can stain light-colored carpet. Use this method only on dark or medium-toned carpets, and always test on a hidden spot first. Ensure the grounds are fully dry before application; even slight moisture increases staining risk. The treated area will carry a mild coffee scent afterward.
