What to Do
Apply Gentrol (hydroprene) IGR spray in cockroach harborage areas — under sinks, behind appliances, along baseboards, and in cabinet voids. One application lasts 3-4 months. Follow label directions for dilution rates.
Why It Works
Insect Growth Regulators mimic juvenile hormones, preventing cockroach nymphs from maturing into reproductive adults. This causes colony collapse over time. IGRs are critical for German cockroach control because this species reproduces rapidly — one female can produce 300+ offspring. IGRs have no effect on non-target animals, making them among the safest pest control products for mammals.

- IGRs do not kill adult cockroaches — always pair with gel baits or boric acid for immediate knockdown
