Set up oscillating fans on patios and decks

What to Do

Place one or more oscillating fans around outdoor seating areas, aimed at body level. A standard box fan or pedestal fan is sufficient. Run fans during outdoor gatherings and evening hours when mosquitoes are most active.

Why It Works

Mosquitoes are weak fliers and struggle in even moderate wind currents. Fans create a zone of moving air that mosquitoes cannot navigate through to reach you. The airflow also disperses the CO2 plume and body heat signals that mosquitoes use to locate hosts. This is an immediate, chemical-free solution.
