Keep at least two goats together at all times and feed on a strict, consistent schedule. Goats are herd animals that vocalize loudly when isolated, and they learn feeding routines within days -- any delay triggers persistent demand-bleating.

Why It Works

Separation triggers a stress response in goats that drives continuous calling until the herd reunites. Similarly, goats develop strong feeding time expectations. Eliminating these two triggers removes the most common causes of excessive backyard noise.

Tips

• Never keep a single goat; a minimum of two is essential for reducing anxiety-driven vocalization
• Feed at the same times daily, within a 15-minute window, to prevent anticipation bleating
