Install a Picture Rail System

Description

A traditional system using molding near the ceiling allows pictures to be hung by wires or cords, offering flexibility and avoiding multiple wall holes.

Recipe/Instructions

1. Purchase picture rail molding and corresponding hooks that slide onto the molding.
2. Locate wall studs near the ceiling.
3. Install the picture rail molding securely along the top of the wall, screwing it into the studs. Use a level to ensure it's straight.
4. Attach picture hanging wire or cord to the back of your frame.
5. Place picture rail hooks onto the molding at the desired horizontal position(s).
6. Loop the wire/cord from the frame over the picture rail hook(s).
7. Adjust the length of the wire/cord to hang the picture at the desired height.
