Best whole-leaf stevia extract for biofilm disruption?
Whole-leaf stevia liquid extract (not powdered sweetener) contains antimicrobial compounds shown to reduce Borrelia biofilm mass by ~40% and eliminate ~94% of spirochetes and persisters in vitro (Theophilus et al., 2015). Alcohol-based tinctures are preferred as the extraction method better preserves bioactive saponins and tannins. The NutraMedix product was specifically used in the landmark study.
