Raccoon predation
Raccoons are intelligent, dexterous predators that target beehives for honey, brood, and adult bees. They can pry apart hive boxes, overturn equipment, and cause far more structural damage than skunks. Apiaries in wooded or suburban areas are especially vulnerable.
