Smaller patty portions

2

Providing smaller portions of pollen patties reduces the time patties are exposed to air and minimizes drying. Instead of placing large patties in the hive, beekeepers can offer smaller, more frequently replaced portions. Bees are more likely to consume smaller patties before they have a chance to dry out significantly. Smaller portions also encourage quicker consumption and reduce patty waste if drying does occur. This approach is particularly useful in dry climates or when patties are prone to drying quickly. Adjust patty size to match colony consumption rate.
