Apply Oil to Loosen Wax (Wood Furniture)

Description

Oil can sometimes help loosen wax adhered to finished wood without damaging the finish.

Recipe/Instructions

1. Gently scrape off as much surface wax as possible with a plastic scraper or credit card.
2. Apply a small amount of furniture polish, mineral oil, or vegetable oil directly to the remaining wax.
3. Let the oil sit for an hour or two to soften the wax.
4. Wipe the area firmly with a soft cloth. The softened wax should lift off with the oil.
5. Buff the area with a clean, dry cloth.
