Soak with Hot Water and Dish Soap (or Dryer Sheet)
3
Description
A long soak can soften burnt-on food, making it easier to scrub away.
Recipe/Instructions
- Scrape out any loose food debris from the pan.
- Fill the pan with hot water and a generous squirt of dish soap.
- Let it soak for several hours or, for very tough jobs, overnight.
- Alternative Soak: Fill the pan with hot water and place a fabric softener dryer sheet flat on the bottom, ensuring it's submerged. Let it soak overnight.
- After soaking, discard the water (and dryer sheet, if used) and scrub the pan with a sponge or scraper. The residue should be significantly softened.
- Wash as usual.
