Apply a commercial anti-fog spray or wipe to lenses

3

Dedicated anti-fog products deposit a hydrophilic coating on lenses that causes moisture to spread into a thin, transparent sheet instead of beading into fog. One application typically lasts 2-3 days.

Steps

  1. Clean the lenses: Remove oils and smudges with lens cleaner and a microfiber cloth first.
  2. Apply the product: Spray or wipe according to the manufacturer's instructions, then buff lightly with a dry cloth.
  3. Reapply every 2-3 days or whenever fogging returns.

Tips

  • Cat Crap and Optix 55 are well-regarded anti-fog products designed for eyeglasses
  • Dirty lenses fog more easily because oils give moisture extra surface area to condense on
  • Also effective on safety glasses, swim goggles, and ski goggles
