Use commercial anti-fog spray or wipes

3

Commercial anti-fog sprays and wipes are specifically formulated for eyeglass lenses and provide longer-lasting protection than DIY methods. One application typically lasts several days.

Steps

  1. Clean lenses first using lens cleaner and a microfiber cloth to remove oils and smudges.
  2. Apply anti-fog product according to the manufacturer's instructions — usually spray or wipe, then buff lightly.
  3. Reapply as needed, typically every 2-3 days or when fogging returns.

Tips

  • Dirty lenses fog more easily because oils and smudges provide surfaces for moisture to condense on
  • Cat Crap and Optix 55 are popular anti-fog products specifically made for eyeglasses
  • Also works on safety glasses and ski goggles
