Hand wash delicates in cool water with mild detergent

Fill a clean basin with cool water (below 30°C) and add a small amount of detergent formulated for delicates or a gentle liquid like baby shampoo. Submerge the garment, gently swish for 2-3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with cool water.

Why It Works

Hand washing gives you complete control over agitation, temperature, and contact time. Cool water prevents shrinkage in wool and silk, and avoids heat-setting wrinkles. Gentle detergents lack the harsh enzymes and brighteners in regular formulas that can damage protein-based fibers like silk and wool.
