Handle delicates gently — no scrubbing or wringing

When hand washing delicates, use a light swishing motion to move water through the fabric. Never rub, scrub, or twist the material. For spot cleaning, gently dab stains with a soft cloth rather than rubbing.

Why It Works

Silk fibers weaken significantly when wet, making them vulnerable to tearing under mechanical stress. Lace and embroidered fabrics can snag and distort. Wringing stretches fabric out of shape permanently. Gentle agitation moves enough soapy water through the fibers to lift dirt without causing structural damage.
