A pickleball court measures 20 feet wide by 44 feet long, the same size for both singles and doubles. The net stands 36 inches at the sidelines and 34 inches at the center.
Key Zones
- Non-Volley Zone (Kitchen): 7 feet from the net on each side. You cannot volley while standing here
- Service courts: Right and left boxes extending from the kitchen line to the baseline
- Baseline: The back line where you serve from
Tips
- The court is roughly one-third the size of a tennis court
- Tournament play requires a minimum 40x64-foot total area including out-of-bounds buffer
- All boundary lines are 2 inches wide and count as "in"
