Description

White vinegar can help loosen gum from some fabrics.

Recipe/Instructions

  1. Heat a small amount of white vinegar in a microwave-safe bowl until warm, but not boiling.
  2. Submerge the gum-affected area of the fabric into the warm vinegar, or saturate the spot using a cloth soaked in warm vinegar.
  3. Let it sit for several minutes.
  4. Use a soft brush (like a toothbrush) or cloth to gently rub the gum until it dissolves or loosens enough to be scraped off.
  5. Launder the item as usual afterward.
