Apply rosemary oil to affected patches

2

What to Do

Mix 5-10 drops of rosemary essential oil with 1 tablespoon of carrier oil. Gently massage into bald patches for 1-2 minutes. Leave on for at least 30 minutes or overnight, then wash out. Apply 2-3 times per week.

Why It Works

Rosemary oil has anti-inflammatory and circulation-boosting properties. While clinical evidence specifically for alopecia areata is limited, its general hair-growth-promoting effects and low risk profile make it a reasonable complementary approach alongside medical treatment.

Tips

  • Not a substitute for medical treatment in active alopecia areata
  • Always dilute in a carrier oil before applying to bare skin
  • May help support regrowth once the immune flare has been controlled
