Remove attractants

Pick up uneaten feed before nightfall, store all grain in metal or thick-plastic bins with tight lids, secure garbage cans, and manage compost piles so they do not contain meat scraps or cooking grease.

Why It Works

Predators such as raccoons, opossums, and rats are drawn to easy food sources first. Once they frequent an area for scraps, they discover the geese. Eliminating food cues reduces the chance predators investigate your yard at all.
