Understand broodiness

3

Solution

Recognize signs of broodiness (goose sitting tightly on nest, hissing) and manage accordingly.

Explanation

After laying a clutch of eggs, a goose may go broody and stop laying. If you don't want goslings, collect eggs daily. If she persists, you may need to gently remove her from the nest multiple times a day or temporarily confine her away from it.

Notes

Breaking broodiness can sometimes be difficult.
